Nonetheless, because the issue has arisen relative to his
earthly pastimes and may be significant to the management of his mission, I
recommend that the GBC now work toward the resolution of this matter with a
view toward reaching a just and objective conclusion.

I am, Your eternal servant, Balavanta das

Balavanta Das' "final report" to the GBC Chairman, showing clearly that his investigation was terminated due to a lack of funding by the GBC. Here are Balavanta's words: "  "He (Dr. Morris) was prepared to perform these tests when he was contacted by a Mr. Hooper (a.k.a Deva Gaura Hari, author of the GBC book 'Not That I am Poisoned') who indicated that he was also working on the investigation. Mr. Hooper was not working with me and I do not know him or his role in your inves tigation. Following this contact, Dr. Morris decided to assess a substantial charge for his continuing efforts. I contacted you (Bir Krsna G. Former Chairman, GBC) to ask for the funds to complete the study, but they have not been forthcoming." (VNN-5589. 2/3/00)

As for the second "conclusive report": since we don't know of anyone else we must assume the "reporter" to be your unannounced appointee David Hooper, who is identified by Balavanta Das in his statement above. This second "commission" was a law enacted by you alone; no one outside the GBC's inner circle was privy to the decision. Why the GBC suddenly decided to remove Balavanta Das (a qualified lawyer / Prabhupada disciple) and replace him with a freshly initiated disciple (David Hooper) of a suspect (Jayapataka Swami), has never been explained, leaving us to assume that Balavanta Das' public disclosure of Dr. J. Stephen Morris' arsenic findings brought about his swift replacement, and your own position as seeking self-preservation rather than the truth.

Your second "commission" resulted in a report authored by David Hooper entitled-- "Not that I am Poisoned", which we now know to have been covertly financed by another suspect in the alleged conspiracy- Bhakti Caru Swami, whose name is conspiciously missing from the credits.

Deva Gaura Hari das has said what is in the book is not what was in his report as well he said he was not qualified to do any investigation!!

Dear Balavanta prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories To Srila Prabhupada.

I am writing you as per your request regarding my initial findings on the last tapes of Srila Prabhupada as held in possession by Isa prabhu. You are aware of the history of these tapes and it may have some information that are not now available in the BBT Archives. Unfortunately, upon my aural investigation several shocking issues became present.

1) On tapes 2, 18, 19 & 20 there are definite conversations regarding Srila Prabhupada's health. On a tape the Ayurvedic Kaviraja a Mr. Damodhar Prasad explains that the Markadvaja medicine that Srila Prabhupada has been taking has both Mercury and Arsenic in it and is Poison for Srila Prabhupada. At that point in time I estimated that He has been taking the medicine for over 10 months! Definitely, some negligence seems to be there on behalf of those around Srila Prabhupada as to the effects of the Medicine that they have been giving Srila Prabhupada all that time.

2) On tape 20, as per your experience as well - A most disturbing piece of information is uncovered: Srila Prabhupada was getting better with the help of the Ayurvedic Kaviraja, to the point that on the tape it was mentioned that he could now pass urine where he couldn't before, he could now pass stool without artificial help, and he could now drink milk without coughing and was getting stronger. Jayapataka Swami was speaking to Srila Prabhupada regarding this point and his taking of milk when someone tried to turn off the tape and clear their throat, and a whisper could be heard in which we deciphered on our digitally enhanced equipment as "Is the poison in his milk!"

There can be no good interpretation regarding this statement. Some evil intentions have to be attributed to the speaker of this whispered statement. As far as we have heard the following people were heard on the tape as being present at that meeting: Jayapataka Swami (Who was speaking to Srila Prabhupada, and is the least likely to have whispered near the microphone as he was speaking), Tamal Krsna Goswami (Who's whereabouts in the room are not known, as he does not speak until later), Bhavananda dasa (Who by hearing the tape is the loudest and closest to the microphone, when he speaks up again in the conversation) Bhakti Caru Swami, (Who's whereabouts are also unknown as he does not speak to later). No other voices are heard on the tape, so if anyone else is present, they do not speak. This information would seem to lend credence that at least some disciple(s) of Srila Prabhupada wanted his demise and were at least speaking about poisoning him to another disciple. As far as we can hear, these senior men with the exception of Jayapataka Swami could have spoken these comments (JPS was speaking to Srila Prabhupada at the time) and should be questioned further.

Your servant,
Mahabuddhi dasa

Subject: Addendum to report

Dear Balavanta prabhu,

Upon further investigation it is noted that the area you have reported on in the tape saying "Lets now poison him and go" or something to that effect is a different part of the tape than what we discovered as "Lets put the poison in his milk" which is much more clear and about 30 counter points behind the area you were talking about. There are two distinct poison references on this tape.

Also, listening later on in the tape shortly after "Poison in the Milk" part, actually Bhakti Caru Maharaja asks Srila Prabhupada in Bengali if he would like milk? Srila Prabhupada agrees, he drinks, and Bhakti Caru asks if it is too hot and Srila Prabhupada answers no it is extremely sweet!

Srila Prabhupada was a diabetic, why would they make it too sweet? Could this be a cover up for poison in the milk? If you listen to the tapes and you understand it in the same way - you have to wonder why they moved the microphone away when Jayapataka Maharaja was speaking to Srila Prabhupada, as his voice gets cut off, then you hear the attempt to turn the microphone off, the faint whispers of "lets put poison in the milk" and then you can hear Jayapataka Maharaj still talking to Srila Prabhupada farther away. Whoever taped this tape also moved it and was there when the whisper of poisoning Srila Prabhupada was said. This tape was taped exactly 20 years ago to this date 11/10 and 11/11 . Bhakti Caru was asking in Bengali, my wife understood it but to make absolutely clear it should be double checked by a Bengali speaker. It seems a logical progression in this tape that some question was aske d about poison, then an agreement to put it in his milk then the offering of the milk and then it is extremely sweet. If this is true. Tamal Krsna Maharaja, Bhakti-Caru Maharaja, and Bhavananda dasa have a lot of explaining to do.

This is enough evidence alone to have the GBC question them, and bring about a full investigation into Srila Prabhupada's passing away. My only fear is that because of the interconnection with many of the leaders in the GBC and these devotees a special unit (perhaps our committee) needs to follow-up on these findings and future findings regarding these issues. Unfortunately, these topics will end up being laundered in the public, but perhaps that is the only way of purifying for these offenses.

your servant,
Mahabuddhi dasa

In fact, we as devotee's collectively should demand that Balavanta's report become public!! Why after two years in the making it is still hush hush and the "only" ISKCON report made public will be the GBC's spin machine's "Powerpoint Purana"?

Nityananda's report is there for all to see (agree or not to agree with). The "OFFICIAL GBC Poison Investigation" was supposed to be Balavanta's report. What happened? To date no forensic's evidence has refuted Nityananda's book So,the "committee to save ISKCON" needed to step in just in case, Balavanta's investigation proved, that more research needed to be done and the suspected GBC (aka TKG,BCS,and company)were not fully vindicated. As was the case.

This political ****, will not suffice any intelligent devotee. It is partisian politics only! Why did not the GBC give Nityananda and others the opportunity to present their case? Because it was already decided what the outcome would be! So, instead of finalizing this Poisoning of Srila Prabhupada issue it has doubled its credibility by the mishandling of the comic GBC leadership in Mayapura. Instead of giving funds to Balavanta or Nityananda's research, they shot in the back their own "confidential investigator's" report and produced the old "bate and switch" con game on everyone and crissoned the "Powerpoint Purana" as authoritive. I am sorry boys, but this just doesn't cut it. But Puru is right, what can we possibly have expected from the "Good Old Boys club"?

CHAKRA is even more amusing, they produced the "Poison CD rebuttal" on their web site. Unfortunately, the so-called CD apparently was stolen by someone who calls himself "Pooriepada" and sold to Harikesh and the GBC. The CD never came out, no-one every heard it and to the amusement of all CHAKRA prints their rebuttal to the CD that never was, except supposedly hidden away in the GBC's "X Files" The physician's reports captured by the "committee to save ISKCON", on Srila Prabhupada's ilness, was at best partial. WE did not publically debate them at that time, as the investigation was still ongoing. But, now everything and every issue can be "publically adressed". They tried to explain that Srila Prabhupada was suffering from Dropsy and Diabetes and that was the cause of his leaving.

The medical reports (destroyed by the hospital), and verbally given to us by Tamal Krsna's disciple report, stated that the operating physician in England stated that all he could concurr was the above diagnosis. We have no problem with his conclusion in that he (the physician) only did a pre operative standard lab testing as is the protocal for most hospitals on Srila Prabhupada. Not a full work up including any toxicological testing, as he would not be looking for that for his operative procedure being done on Srila Prabhupada. Had he done one, then this issue would be resolved one way or the other.

There is no disagreement in that Srila Prabhupada suffered from Diabetes, renal disease and dropsy, but no case has been presented by "the committee" that discredits that Srila Prabhupada may have had the co-morbidity of complications presented by periodic poisoning. Or, that poisoning was not started until after SP visit to England. Either sceanario, is not defeated by existing presentations in the "powerpoint Purana".

In fact, TKG's disciple a Bachelor of Science Degree holder, goes on to postulate that the effects of Arsnic could not be detected in Srila Prabhupada, due to his ayurvedic understanding. Wherein, in Nityananda's book the leading expert in Arsnic poisoning in the USA (a Ph.D., M.D. by the way), a Medical forensics examiner,in North Carolina, testifies that viewing the symptoms present in Srila Prabhupada he concurred that Arsnic poisoning could very well been present in Srila Prabhupada and combinedly work to his worsening condition.

But, no we are to take the opinion of TKG's disciple as truth?? Because the GBC said so! It is time to wake up. Balavanta's report Needs to become public!!! That's it. Lets see it. OK GBC Men, of great character, lets produce it for PUBLIC DISTIBUTION amongst the devotees.

ys, Mahabuddhi dasa
